Student Award 2020-2021
The Kuwaiti Association For Learning Differences (KALD) launches a special award for a number of students with learning difficulties and/ or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder who show tenacity, commitment and ability to adapt to a new way of education (on-line learning), during the academic year 2020-2021.
Objectives:
- Encouraging students to work hard.
- Honoring distinguished students who have adapted to the new system, which is distance learning.
- Spreading the culture of excellence among students and developing positive attitudes towards teaching and learning.
Criteria:
- Four students are nominated from each school
- Only students in 4 to 12 grades can be nominated.
- Only students with Learning Difficulties and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder are eligible for nomination.
- All nominated students should be officially registered in a public or private school in Kuwait.
Nomination mechanisms and procedures:
- The school administration coordinates with teachers to nominate students.
- The school fills out the nomination form and submits it to The Kuwaiti Association for Learning Differences (KALD).
- Certificates proving the student’s academic results during the year should be attached to the form.
Evaluation:
Aspects of evaluation include the students’ behavior during the on-line classes as well as their academic performance and grades.
